Theatre work includes plays & musicals, incorporating period movement and historical dance in classical theatre, and choreographing show dance and spectacle in musical theatre.

As a movement director, Darren has worked closely with actors and directors, to devise a particular style of movement for the production, coach specific dance styles from tap to ballroom, and to create movement for actors as multiple-roles, animals and an array of fantastical creatures!

From children’s theatre, pantomime and work on cruise ships, to cabaret, revue and drama, Darren is a skilled practitioner, working alongside the production team to create a physical world on stage, harnessing the skills of the performers, and unifying the company in movement.
